EE's in water

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

I was wondering if any of these 4 named EE's would like to have the pots set in water, perhaps someone here can tell me if they like "wet feet". These are the ones I have...........Fantasy, Green Shield, Astris, and Hilo Beauty. I have all my EE's on the east side of the house so I can see them when I go out the kitchen door. Not much sun, obviously and the ones I have there seem to be doing great so far.

If they are doing well the way they are, I wouldn't change a thing. As for whether they would like to be sitting in water...I have no clue. LOL!

Last week I found this tiny pup of Blackie. I stuck it in a pot in my little pond and put a rock on the roots. It's at least twice the size today and looking happy.

I have just about all of my EE's in very moist or wet conditions....I have some bare-rooted in my pond, just growing in gravel to prop them up. Make sure you are attempting this with Colocasia EE's and not Alocasia EE's.....alocasias usually can not take as much water as the colocasia varieties. Once they go dormant, they can't sit in water at all.
