Your's will be blooming soon Kelly ! It might even have buds. The bids are different looking. I think it was Janis thought they were seed pods and was going to take them off. I'm glad I had the chance to let her know they were buds. Her plant was a baby also and had never bloomed so I knew it had no seed pods.

Roopville, GA(Zone 7b)

: ) i do think mine has buds allison!!!! yeah!!! you sent me such a nice size plant of alsobia cygnet!

ooooh, lovely pics!

Allison, I know I said "no thank you" to your offer of episcias, but I think 'Teddy Bear' just went on my wish list.... no clue if that's one you have babies available of or if it'll fit in the box... but it is just adorable! And my 'Unpredictable Valley' plant is finally doing better (getting larger again, has two crowns now, woohooo), so I'm more confident about growing them.

My Alsobia cygnet (from Bluekat76, the first offspring of the plant you sent her) has put out several blooms and is getting ready to do it again! She got two little shoots last week... I pinched one back, but I'm going to let the other grow so I can give a baby to my sister-in-law. She is starting to fill out a little with a couple of new crowns from the base, too. :-)

aren't they beautiful jill???

Well I have not been using any food out of it.
Mine do get a lot of warnth and Humidity, natural light.
I notice my Blue Heaven needs lots of light and humidity to bloom.
Your Courdory is stunning ! I've never seen this one before.
Do you grow any other Gerneriads ?

New Caney, TX

Violet, I have a few Streps. I just traded for Three.
Daphne
Dibley’s Heidi
Weismoor Blue
They are just three leaf plants. Just rooted leaves really. I have a Concord Blue(I think thats what it is) that I have had for years. I really love Episcias and Streps but can't find them here in Houston where I live.
Tami

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Streps are fun and easy to grow too ! I'm glad you could find some trades. Were always trading or sharing here :))

New Caney, TX

Violet,
I have traded on Garden Web since 2000 but have gotten a bit tired of the no shows. Teresa Mattson and Monica(country Bumkin) have told me how good this site is. I joined yesterday. The trade list here will take some time to fill out. Its a bit more involved than Gardenwebs. I do have several Rooted Episcias,Hoya's,plumeria's and Begonia's though. I guess I should post on the appropriate groups. I was just looking around seeing how y'all did things. Thanks.

Tami
