Oh Joan., you are so sweet to remember Sexy Lady. I have 2 standards of her this year and I have given away a couple standards too. She is the easiest brug...........so far no mites!!!
Sexy Lady is a Susie hybrid that I grew out from seed. I love her because she is an easy brug that blooms and blooms and pods and pods. Easy to root. Easy to love.
I am on the second flush but I was such a bad brug Mom this year. This was my last one to root prune and replant back in its pot just a few weeks ago. And I swear it already has filled out the pot. It also was the first time I did not cut the canopy to match the root pruning. I tell you brugs are indestructible!! It hardly even pouted over it. I was amazed, but it did drop some buds.
I watered it yesterday and I just went out to take its pic and it was drooping. It is one aggressive brug. HUGE!!
Anyway, I just watered it, so I will go out and take its pic in awhile when it re-inflates or maybe even tomorrow. I am beat.

I can't seem to get an attractive picture of her. But here she is. I didn't cross her last year but did the year before. I have so many seeds and I am so bad at getting them out. I hate bagging them so much.
None of my pinks are coming at as dark as they have been in the past. We have been so hot here, I was hoping they all would be dark, but I guess you need the high humidity.
Kell if you want high humidity move to south Texas. Here we ahve very high humidity.

Oh Kell she is as beautiful as I hoped she would turn out to be. Did you leave her out all winter or take her in. She is so big for this early. She sure grows fast if you left her out.
