Here's my first blooms grown in captivity!! Doing all kinds of dancing and yelping!!! Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to h. callistophylla!!! AND, she's got more buds "underneath" for another show soon! This was a particularly good "bloom day" as my first plumeria bloomed today also!! Sing with me..."heaven, I'm in heaven....!!"

I'm singing with you! Yay! Must be the cute beaded thingy decorating her pot! I've already been outside checking the girls out. It's Messenger day, my last packet!

LOL...I feel your joy Karen.
I love the little Indian/hippy tassels on your pot. It looks like you have those plants on a porch or patio. I do think they bloom better when you get them out into the fresh air and brighter light of outdoors. Amazingly, I am out of outdoor space now & have more room IN the house than out for my plants. UGH.

How wonderful for you, Kabob! A red letter day for sure. First Hoya blooms and Plumeria too. Ü

I was just out at my sis's place and saw this for myself - - IT'S GOOOORGEEOUS! Whoo hooooo - - good growin' Karen!!

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

Thanks all!! My feet haven't hit the ground yet today!!

Edited to add that, Marcy, yes, she is outside on an east facing porch. She, and all my hoyas that are out there, have put on ALOT of growth - must be the quality of light (vs indoor grow lights) and the air circulation. Whatever it is, they all seem to like it outside!

REALLY cool! Good on ya'. H. callistophylla is not one who plays lose and free with her blooms, either!!!

Far out Karen! Congratulations on your first, and definitely not last hoya blooms. They're very lovely.

Thanks all! It's been a great bloom day!! H. callistophylla is awesome! AND, discovered a budding peduncle on a small cutting of h. lacunosa var. lacunosa that Ann W. sent me!! H. archiboldiana is budding again (but I'm not holding my breath on that one). With my plumeria blooming also, I think I'll petition to make this day a state holiday - Karen Got Blooms Day!! WooHooooo!!

That is such a tiny plant to be blooming too. I love those kind just for their leaves alone. I wouldn't care if it never bloomed. However...to get that bonus too...you lucky gal. Hey...did it have a smell?

Marcy - I couldn't detect any smell - but then again, I was so giddy over these flowers, that I may have missed it!! It has more buds on it, so I'll check when it (hopefully!) blooms again.
