Taken 21st June. A newly acquired bare root rose this year. Simply stunning.

I totally agree

Of course it's stunning, you're the one growing it!! LOL. You have a major green thumb. Mine's green, but only when the plants want it to be.

Well I'm pleased we are in agreement on both points!

Oh be still my heart!

This is possibly my all time favorite rose. I bought a plant at the David Austin nursery many years ago when I lived in Yorkshire. How wonderful to see a photo of it! I absolutely love it.

kniphofia, I believe I read a comment elsewhere to that effect. I also think you said you wished you could find it again. You will have to remind me when late autumn comes, I may be able to get some good cuttings. I tried it with Rhapsody in Blue, and have one from a winter 04/05 growing nicely and it has flowered. This seems to be a similar floribunda type, they might root as easily.

I got this along with Odyssey (pic in PF) which I think you will also like, and Variegata di Bologna from

they have the newest and the best, the plants are very good, they also have very good pictures.

It is a real beauty. Simply stunning.

Funny isn't it, the only words I could come up with to describe it were 'simply stunning'! Love the pun.
