Begonia unknonia

Acton, CA(Zone 8b)

This species was one I found at a local nursery- they had no clue what it was, and I am no expert on any flowering plant species.... it could be something really common. It's flowers are 'ordinary' pink. But the undersides of the leaves area deep maroon. Sort of a tender plant and melts back to the ground each winter here when it gets into the low 30s. (planted outside facing the winds against the house). Any guesses as to what it is?

Bob, don't have a clue but it is striking. Love the large showy lvs
with the red eye.
