I was very annoyed this afternoon to find that many of my guava fruit buds have been attacked by an insect which is drilling into the immature fruit. (The remaining larger fruits seem ok so far.) Is anybody familiar with this insect and how I can prevent further infestation?
Thank you!
guava insect infestation
Looks to me like the nasty cabbage looper - they have devestated my geraniums and petunias this year. I have found NO ABSOLUTE way to get rid of these worms, so I just live with them.
Oh my gosh I have both pineapple and newly added strawberry guava- I have never seen infestation like that, but I will be looking. I didn't think anything really bothered them much- anybody else have this sort of problem?
