I grew up in Wisconsin and one of the things I miss the most is LILACS!! Beautiful swallowtail!

greenie, we didnt know what these were until they bloomed. They are gorgeous and smell great, but the down side is, now that the flowers are dying it looks bad and is messy. Nobody trimmed these in the 8 years the place was vacant, so we trimmed the front one this year and the back one we will do next year. That way we will always have some in bloom. Lilacs small so wonderful. I want 2 more just like them and noone is positive its a persian, so I am going to learn how to do cuttings and root them and start 2 more.
