Oh I love them, very nice.
They are very special flowers. Probably the most fragrant of all brugmansias. Definately up there in the top ten. I grow them at my home in florida. They grow fast and bugs don't like them. The flowers are large. Some have stuffed skirts while others will drop the skirt completely. This is one of my favorite brugs........and i grow many different types.
Well they are certainly lovely! I have just begun to grow some- I had been told that it would be too cold here in the winter, but have since seen them planted in many yards around me, doing very well so I have hope that I will have a bloom or 2 this year, though nothing as TADA! as your Double Peach. Thank you very much for the photo.
In zone 9a you should have no problem growing brugs outdoors. They may die back to the ground in the winter but they will emerge from the roots in the spring. Each year they will be bigger and stronger. Don't let anyone discourage you from planting in your zone. It's probably best, if you are going to do your growing outdoors, to get your plants in the ground now so that the root systems will have enough time to develop and be able to survive the winter. It may help to throw some mulch over the ground around the plant in case there should be heavy frosts. I'm at my summer home and don't have access to my brugs or i would offer to send you some unrooted cuttings to get you started. Unfortunately I will not be going back until the fall. Perhaps in the spring of next year if you still have the brug bug i could send you some cuttings or in the fall if you want to try to overwinter them by rooting them and caring for them indoors until the spring....remind me in the middle of sept if you want some unrooted cuttings. All you would need to do is pay for the postage...
Gary!!
That one is spectacular. And a stinky too. I have 3 and none have any perfume. Oh well
When are you coming home, Gary. Our little group would love to visit you and your brugs.

Be back after labor day!!
I have some 50 or 60 varieties...i truly lost count :{
You know you have it bad when you lose count of how many varieties you have!!! Me, i don't know the varieties of my plants. I know the basic name like canna, sweet pea and irises. I go a little further by describing the color which in the case of my irises will be mostly purple. Former owners loved that color and for a long time that was the only thing that would grow here. Just in the last few years have been able to get more plants to survive. Oh well, aint complaining cause what I do have is hardy and I can be negelctful right about this time and they come back every year!! LOL. Love your angels trumpet too. Keep up the good work.
