OT..I am an AUNTIE

I am sorry I have been scarce lately everyone :)
But my beautiful..PERFECT, GORGEOUS baby neice was born on Monday night :)
She is perfect :) for those of you who went through the SCARE with me :) no troubles :)
10 fingers, 10 toes :)
I will post pictures tonight when I get home from work.

I had to work a 15 hour shift on monday (my shift and my moms) so she could be there for the birth :) So have not had much time to be on here :)

Of course I went up last night to see her :)

Oh Lorry! I am so, so, so happy for you and your family! There's nothing in the world more precious than a new baby. And I'm so thankful to hear that she's healthy! Big hugs all around! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Oh congrats! I have never been an aunt- nitwitt brothers- but wow how much fun for you! What is the little darlings name? How nice of you to cover for your mom so she could be there for the birth! You are a good daughter!

Congratulations to you and yours (is this your brother's or sister's?)

Is this your first niece/nephew? I have 16,and am quite close to several of them.

(Either way...who could ever wish for a better Aunt than you?! Ü )

He has always been fabulous with children and now he is just the CUTEST dad int he world.
She is one lucky girl (albiet he will be overprotective) but he loves her more than anything already and he can't stop touching her :)
So I could not resist a photo or two of her with her dad :)
Mom still won't allow photos until she is ready to put her makeup back on LOL

Oh, wow! Congrats, Auntie Lorry! What a precious little girl! You gotta love those pink lips and button nose! I have a 9 year old nephew and a 18 month old niece and they have been such a delight for me. I have pics to post but have to have time as it takes me a while. I know Jayden will bring you much joy!

Oh, good idea... I have been giving blooming AVs in Dandy pots as birthday gifts lately, and they go over well! We celebrated our godson's birthday this afternoon, however, and he is not quite into plants (yet), so he got a MagnaDoodle and a Dinosaur coloring book (with stickers... stickers are very important, the only thing cooler at age 3 are rub-on tatoos).

Lorry, we are all trying to be patient, but we really need to see more pictures of Jayden! I trust you took your camera along today. :-)

Critter- want some stickers for your godson?? I have a relative who gets lots of kiddie stickers (for free) from work and gives them to me. My husband and I just don't play with them like a good boy and girl should. So we've got quite a collection if you're interested. I used to just give them to the kids at church, but felt pretty guilty when they ended up on the walls. And my nieces and nephews already have them all. hahaha I even have a few sparkly and glow-in-the-dark ones. hahaha Sorry, no rub-on tattoos. Interested? Want pictures first?

ooOOOOOhhhhhh.... Cheryl, you could make "Aunt Jill" very popular with such a sticker collection! We'd play with them here and share them around too (with injunctions not to put them on the walls at home, LOL). We do lots of projects when the kids visit.... I've got lots of arts and crafts stuff and a couple of big rolls of paper (white & brown) that we use for murals. Actually, it's remarkable how much "kid stuff" is in our house, considering that we don't yet have actual kids, LOL.... I'm talking portable crib, shelves of books and videos, toys, games, puzzles, even a diaper genie.... not to mention that we're a sort of hub for the friends & family hand-me-down circuit!

Dmail me -- maybe you'd let me send you a box of AV leaves or other goodies in return?

LOL, I didn't think you were being tricksy at all. Actually, I think DH is really hoping I will do more trades for something other than more AVs... he keeps pointing out how full my shelves are getting! I think of my DG trades more as an exchange of gifts between friends, and while I appreciate your generosity, I'll also want to find a way to return it! :-)

And yes, Lorry, we need baby stats! :-D

oh lorry hoping she won't be yellow long. mallory my 8 year old had jaundice soooo bad and she was born in october. i joked she was just being festive : ) she had to have blood taken 2 times a day to check levels of b.r. even the white of her eyes turned a yellowish green. she is soooooo pretty!! she is lucky she will get to be spoiled rotten from a wonderful aunt : ) i love the name : )

I'm sorry to hear about the jaundice & hoping it'll be a minor issue, quickly resolved. With or without photos, I'm glad she was able to get in some "Aunt Lorry" time!!

My little guy had jaundice, too, and he just couldn't shake it. I was finally was told to put him on formula for 24 hours, and I did, and he got over it lickity split. He'd had it for 7 weeks prior and had to go under lights all the time. One of those crazy things....
