Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Picking several pods yesterday, I was reminded I always find their diversity so interesting.
So decided this photo to reference as needed.
Today, I decided to share it here.

Neat! I hope you get a winner or two out of those pods!

Is there any relation of the color of the seed (light- med.brown-dark brown?) to the color of the bloom?

This is very helpful, Alice. I have yet to have a pod, but I'm hoping to this summer.
I hope you have some really special plants from these seeds!!

Good decision, Alice and a great picture. I love picking fruits too and note the differences in color and shape too.

Thank you Alice for posting this. It is interesting to see all the different pod shapes and sizes. For the new ones here, I think they would find it even more interesting if you could identify for them what specie crosses produce which shape pod.

Just love them seed Pods Alice! Thanks for sharing.
I agree with Frannie. When you get the time could you please ID the pods.

I'm visualizing a very full greenhouse this winter. LOL!

Shirley, the glasshouse is already full ..LOL

K. James, I already sowed some of the large fat pod in the middle. That pod is special :-)

Sorry I haven't been around to answer all of the questions to my posts. June has been a really full month for me.

Don't work too hard, Alice.
Sow immidately eh? I'm trying to subtly glean info here since I have some fresh material. Should seeds dry/cure at all after the pods abcise from the plant?
