dividing today for trades
Have: Bog Iris from Lilypons
Hi Jackie,
I am getting the breaded peach iris ready to send.
I just saw your trade posts for water plants. Do they survive in zone 5? I will be happy to get an assortment of water-bog plants. No pale blue bog iris-I have lots. Do you want any of them? I could ship a bunch with the peach iris.
Do you like orange or red day lilies? Yellow with black speckles 1 foot lilies? Can I interest you in anything else? I would appreciate lots of water plants. I have 12 named mints. grasses. hostas. ferns and lots of other stuff. ttyl Rachel
can trade the yellow bog iris 1 for 1 for the peach iris.....they are root hardy...how many do u want? ....I can send 1 large rooting of the gladstone lily for some extra iris......will send out today if i know...be aware when the lily ships it is better to remove most of the leaves and i will.......did u want some 4 leafed clover? answer soon before i make a mail run
Is it better to leave the big leaves on the peach iris do the tubers can draw their energy from them? They need a big box to ship this way. I would sent them parcel post. Their leaves are big and I would have to trim a lot of each one off to fit in a piority box. Back to you shortly on how many I have to ship. Rachel
u can trim them to about 4 inches
u can send them parcel post it wont hurt them this time of year
I just dug and rinsed the iris. One has 10 babies attached with stalks. One has 15 attached tubers with big leaves. The babies are ready to be broken off the mama. Plus 2 seperate tubers.
I am not sure how to count them. You can wait to ship until you see what you get because I don't know what is fair. Shipping today. Rachel
Oo sweety ........I will ship today as well. You have always been a fair trader....I dug a LARGE gladstone I can divide into about 4 good starts for you and some equisetum and yellow iris and a piece of blue pickerel rush and another small plant that grows on the bottom of my ponds, dont know what it is but the foliage sometimes turns red and it is quite pretty
I trade for hardy hibiscus, japanese morning glory seed, named pastel colored hardy daylilies(no stellas), and specialty iris....I am looking for a dark blue or rosy red aster not the old new england aster......if anything comes up, keep me in mind
if you have not shipped would you throw in some water mint? I love mints and would put a bit in the fish tank etc..... if you already shipped I will get some next trade. Rachel

glad everything traveled well, I just take my chances sending anything from here in the summer.........heat is unmerciful here and still no rain , into our second year of serious drought
How can you be having a drought there when we are considering buying rowboats for the kids to get to school? We got as much rain in 5 weeks as we were due for 5 months! Just kinda totally off-thread but still wondering...
braggart!...try watering 30 acres in a 2 year drought on a retirement budget
Wonder why it is we gardeners always seem to get the extremes in weather.....do you think it might be a test?
Is this Eden and we need not get too comfortable?
I have no desire to grow apples
Just like little water on my sand dunes
Jackie
You check for the postage is in the mail today. I just wanted to let you know ok.
The water plants are doing great. Thanks bunches.
vicki
