Current style tomato

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

I am looking for seed of a current type tomato. I bought the seed under the name of "Escondito" and have not been able to find it again. I asked on Daves several years ago and no one had it then but I thought with all the new people I would try it again....
I have trades if anyone has it and is intrested...

Thanks I will give them a try and see if I find something that is like the ones I had. I like to grow them year round just to have fresh homegrown tomatoes for salads...
Thanks again.
I will leave this thread open just in case someone comes along that has more info on this.

Hi ya Dee,

Red Current can be found @ Sand Hill Preservation Center under the Tomato - Cherry-sized Varieties described as: "56 days. Indeterminate plants. Parent type of modern tomatoes, pea sized fruits borne in clusters of up to 18. 1000's of fruits per plant."

Tomato seed prices: Tomato packets are $1.75 each, any 10 for $16.00, any 20 for $30.00 Packets will contain at least 25 seeds, usually 50 to 100.

WillowWasp,
I have a currant tomato that's perennial. It has been here nearly thirty years. It never fails to come up every spring. My problem is keeping them contained. I have plants coming up all over the garden and the flowerbeds. I can save you some seeds if you want or I can send plants for postage.

Let me get back to you after the Holiday, I would love some seed if you have any...

Dee
