It sure would be great if some one had the secret of de-seeding it, there must be a way without spitting them out? I'm already giving fruit away because mine just wont stop produceing.

Gotta show you all a picture of my custard apple, the tree is only 2 years old and is loaded with fruit, much more then I can eat, now giving them away to neighbors. At first I was told they don't grow in my zone (10) but heres proof -----Jim

Very nice variety going by the looks! It should be very pulpy. It is a tropical fruit and I must tell you, Mysore and Florida has so many things in common. If you look at the pictures I've posted on the plant files here, you will know how many common ones are in Florida because you have seen them there!

We also give the extras to neighbours or visitors. Now here in my new garden, the plant is very young. I'm amazed how quickly it has grown to give fruits to you. I'm of the opinion that it grows a bit slowly as I've seen. It continues to give fruits for a number of years. It takes pruning well when the branches are too much, but there may not be much need for it, unless it becomes very old.

Dinu, I'm just wondering, do you grow black sapote or sapildilla or star fruit all of which grow very well here?

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Star fruit is here I know. Do you mean Sapota? If it is, they are popular here.

I suppose your spelling is the correct one, it's the thing that is supposed to taste like chocolate pudding, My tree is only in the ground one year and looks very nice, I have high expectations of it getting fruit next year. I bought the sapadilla this year then learned that when they grow they sort of fall over like they were wind blown, right now it's up-right, I think if it starts to tilt I won't keep it, I should look into things b-4 I plant, but I hear of somthing and run out and buy it. Here is a picture of my black sapota
