Interesting statistics...

As I was watering today, I decided to write down the names of all the leaves and plantlets that I have and take a count of how many actual leaf pots/plantlet pots there are. Now keep in mind that this doesn't include the mature plants that I haven't put down leaves of yet. I know some of you have many times the number I do, but being a relative newbie I'm quite tickled to come up with these numbers.

76 named varieties
9 NOID varieties (which could be any actual number of different varieties, but if it said "Optimara NOID" it was counted as one variety of NOID)
209 leaf/plantlet pots

Not a world record collection, but I'm still really happy with it.
Anyone else care to be this OCD and come up with a count for us? LOL

Wow you have quite a lot!

That's a great collection. I want to do the same and post for fall trade.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Super Duper Amy !
Is the 76 named varieties mature plants ?
Guess what no kidding you have close or maybe more now than I do ! And I'm packing up your Bingo box :))

Nanna that's a good idea! We need to create a new Have-list thread for Fall trades. I don't think I ever even posted on the old Have-list thread and I'm sure so many of us have gotten new plants, and so many new people have joined us that a new thread altogether might be in order.
Allison, no, the 76 named are just leaves I have down or plantlets from leaves I have put down. I haven't had time to make a list of my mature plants. I'll do that within the next week or so. All my leaves and plantlets needed to be watered today, so I just wrote them down as I watered them. I had gotten 3 more of the plastic shoe box tubs, so I was moving the babies around and bleaching out the boxes, both new and old. Next time I water all the mature plants I'll write them down and take count of those. Some varieties will be duplicates of the leaf varieties and some won't. I put down leaves of three more mature plants today. but I think they were all included in the 76 count, except maybe one of them.
I can't wait for the Bingo box!! :o)

That's awesome Amy ! I love the boxes and bleaching and cleaning everything !

Well, I figure it's like washing our sheets...we all need a clean bed! LOL Besides, I had to get more plastic shoe boxes...we didn't have anymore casserole dishes in the house. I'd used them all for babies! LOL

Edison, NJ(Zone 7a)

Well, I can top the number of named varieties. I have 117. I also have 7 standard sized Noids, and 4 mini/semi-mini Noids (all mature plants). Of course, this does not include my BINGO prize box from Allison!

62 of the 117 are plants - mostly small plantlets or young plants. Some are mature, though.

Of the 117 different named AVs, I have 58 potted up (1-2 of each name). Some are leaves from the mature plants, others are ones I bought. I also have a few Noid leaves potted, too (like the pretty pink girl leaf Noid I posted pictures of recently).

A couple of my plants, both named and noids, have been suckering like crazy. I spent Sunday afternoon separating and potting up suckers! My pretty purple with white edges noid (I posted a pic of this recently, too) gave me 2 large and three fairly good size suckers!

I can't wait for the fall trade - I should have lots and lots to share by then! And I was thinking of sponsoring a BINGO game, too. Either September or October, if the game is still going. In addition to some plants/leaves as prizes, I had a few other ideas, too. I'm already working on a possible prize list.

Great numbers Stephanie !
And yes as long as we have people that want to play and it's open to ALL paid DG's we will have a Bingo game each month !

That's wonderful, Stephanie! I'm so looking forward to fall trades! And I hope we can keep the Bingo game going every month from now on. It is so much fun!

Cool! That's a great collection, and it's certainly growing quickly!!

How about if we bump up the old "haves" list? I'll go find the thread. Please add your list if you haven't done so! Otherwise, I figure it's easier to edit your old list than to retype or to copy to a new thread. I think the chatter on the thread isn't enough to make it hard to find people's lists.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

I have 55 named varieties and 25 leaves/plantlets

I have 9 NOID's

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks guys! I couldn't believe I had that many already!

Critter, how are you feeling??

Janis

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm feeling pregnant of course... LOL... won't really know until this weekend! With all the hormone injections, I can't really tell anything, but I figure after the doc transfers an embryo to me, I am pregnant unless/until they tell me otherwise!

I have to admit.... it's fun counting plant collections... I'm always surprised by the numbers, also!
