I like to use this before I have bug problems. I would like to add some to my seedlings. When is it safe to use on young plants?
Thanks

Bayer 2 in 1 use?
Oh Caren, from my own experience, I would not use it on young seedlings at all. The fertilizer in it is very harsh and I have had full grown brugs get so burned by it. And other kinds of plants die from it!!
I now only use it when I have watered the plant the day before so it does not drink up too much fertilizer because it is thirsty. I also am careful to spread it al over the pot not just in a clump. I only use it on a gallon size pot and prefer a 5 gallon one because the roots are sturdier and less likely to be zapped.
On seedlings I only treat if they have bugs and then I use Neem Oil. Neem is so easy to use on small plants for it is easy to get all surfaces. I would not use Neem in bright sun though for I hear some people have had trouble with it burning from the sun hitting it. Personally, I have never had any problems with Neem at all.
Since insecticides (except for Neem and other oils) stop being effective on bugs after awhile, I try only to use them when absolutely needed.

Thanks Kell Im SOOOOO glad I asked!!! I'll have to check into Di-Syston. I really only use Bayer for the systemics I can fertilize on my own. Thanks for the tips!
