Purple Ninebark 'Diabolo®'
Physocarpus opulifolius

The purple cultivar of this Ninebark is a great landscape plant where foliage and flowers add color contrast throughout the growing season.

Hi, Lovely tree.

But what are those beautiful leaves under the tree? I'm sure if you have them in Fairport, I won't be able to have them here.

BTW, I have a son there on Monroe Wayne County Line Road. He works at Bosch. Then another one lives in Victor. Small world.

Hey Ft Lauderdale, The foliage plant below the Ninebark is Japanese Butterbur or Sweet Coltsfoot, Fuki (Petasites japonicus). Check it out on Dave's site. I hope you can grow it where you are; it does very well here in Fairport. Attached is an earlier image taken on May 21, 2006.

WOW! Your photos & therefore your landscape is awesome! I live in Houston so like Ft. Lauderdale, just know that I can't grow what you do- too hot, too humid!
Very beautiful. Thank you for sharing the photos!

What a lovely yard. I looks as if you are in the city. Yes?

I just checked the PF and it only goes up to 9b and I'm 10b. Probably too hot. When I get my gardens all done, ho ho ho, I am going to try some things, like this, just to play around and see if I can push their limits.

Take care.
