I posted pictures of the buds on this Brug the end of May. It was labeled Snowbank when I bought it. There were some questions if it was really Snowbank or maybe had been mislabeled. It has finally bloomed. Smells wonderful. Can anyone tell if it is Snowbank from these pictures.
Snowbank? Blooming
Sorry, I didn't mean to post life size. :~|
Thanks Brugie...
No, mine does not have near as much white as that one. I did have it in more sun but moved it to an area where it gets sun until about noon.
The blooms on my Snowbank did hang straight down. Maya blooms nod a bit. Whatever you have, enjoy!! It's pretty.
Mine had alot more variegation also. I do not have it anymore. Very pretty.
I agree, Don't really matter who she is, but it is really pretty. Now if it will grow. LOL
Yes Betty we need for it to grow so you can share cuttings at the Tupelo MS RoundUp this Fall. BUT don't give me even if I beg, I have too many Brugs.
I checked the drive time and it would be 10 hours round trip for you to attend the MS RoundUP, I suppose that is too long, unless you were wanting to see the birthplace of Elvis in a BIG way.
Thanks for sharing the picture.
Judy
Hi Judy, One branch has your name on it. Just beg it to grow a branch. LOL The second picture is almost the entire plant. Just a little section below where the flower is hanging.
The Roundup does sound fun. That is quite a drive to get plants that I don't need. Sure would be fun to meet the people though. We need to plan one for Nashville.
Hi Betty! Yours looks more like Maya or Peaches and Cream to me. My Snowbank is much more variegated. I am trying to remember the flower color, I think it was apricot, but so are my Maya/Peaches and Cream flowers. They can also be orange.
I agree with Kell. That does not look like the snow bank that I have. My snowbank has much more white than the brug in your picture. You most likely have PC or Maya....
Definitely not versicolor variegata Peaches & Cream. The same as all versicolors the variegata Peaches & Cream hangs straight down (pendant). The flowers are longer than x candida Maya. Flowers have a long skinny neck and the calyx does not touch the shoulder of the flower. The flowers turn the same peach color as versicolor Peach. The leaves are softer and smoother than x candida Maya. Does not thrive in every environment the same way x candida Maya does and that is why we rarely see true versicolor variegata Peaches & Cream plant and flower pictures.

My snow bank hasn't bloomed yet either but she has alot of white variegation.
