I finally had these two Swallowtails land in my yard! I've been seeing them do "fly-bys" but they would never stop in for a meal!! Yesterday, both the Pipevine and the Giant stopped in for a bite. The little guy, the Marine Blue is here often, but quite the little bugger to take a picture of!! My son finally got the picture of the Marine Blue and the Pipevine, and I caught the Giant this morning. The two Swallowtail pics aren't too great, because they were in motion, but I was happy to finally have them :)

Hi Piggypoo,

Great pics! Is that a verbena? If so, what variety?

Hi Marilyn...I'm sorry :( I don't know what variety of verbena it is. I thought I had the little plant tag still, but I don't. I really should keep those all together, whenever I plant something, so I can answer if asked

Gorgeous butterflies! I do love that little dainty marine blue :o)

Dratted swallowtails and pipevines out here never stay put for very long...it's quite hard to get a photo of them.

that Marine Blue is so cute. I have never seen one. Guess it is time for the Giants. I had one the other day but didn't get a pic. My Gulf Frits are coming back in now. Funny I had them all winter then they dissappeared when spring came.

Greenie,

I didn't know that Butterflies will go to a hydrangea! Maybe I'll see if I have the lighting and space for at least one!

Thanks for sharing.
