Home Remedies for Thrush?

My horse was diagnosed with Thrush. She is a pasture horse and does stand in the mud at times though I try to keep her feet clean. The remedies in the catalog seem expensive for a condition that may require chronic intermittent treatment. Aren't there some inexpensive remedies you can make from drugstore ingredients?

I thought Thrush was just a frog disease but she had yucky smelly black stuff under the shoe.
