would love to have some of your seeds. I have lots of seeds to trade. What are you interested in?

Are they sun or shade lovers? What size do they get to (my garden space is limited until I I can dig out some canna and daisies or dig new beds. That probably won't happen till fall. PLease check out my trade list (incomplete so if you want something particular be sure to ask).
Thanks,
Deb

Hi Brenda I would love to trade, I will Dmail you.

I'd love a packet of seeds! Anything in particular you're looking for in trade? I'm happy to trade or SASE.
Thank you for offering them!

I'd like to try some, also. I don't have a trade list posted but I do have lots of things. What are you looking for?

Houston, TX(Zone 8b)

Wow, so many responses!

ddensmore - My dutchman's pipevine is growing under the east side of a pine tree in my back yard, so it gets morning sun and then dappled shade the rest of the day. I'm not sure how big this plant could potentially grow, but mine certainly is a manageable size. It's probably sprawled out a couple feet, and I have it growing up a little 2' trellis.

What am I looking for? Good question. I will try just about anything, but let me name a few that come to mind...
Any kind of vine (flowering or foliage)
mint
toad lilies
dwarf zinnia
bee balm
I am completely open to suggestions. Or I can do the SASE thing too - I just want to get rid of some of these seeds! :)

I've got several things you might be interested in. I'll dmail you in the morning with a list of what I have to offer.
Thanks!

I've sent dmails to moritz, rita_sturzbeche and ddensmore.

I'm so excited about getting new things to grow! :) (And about sharing my beloved plant with other gardeners!)

Just thought of something - I would love to have seeds from another type of Dutchman's pipevine.

Greenbud, do you have any seeds left for SASE? That's the prettiest plant! I don't have any seeds but I do have apple mint plants if you'd rather trade. It's very pretty. with lighter green leaves than other mints. I also have pineapple and chocolate mints I just bought. I could send cuttings from those but just one or two because the plants aren't very big yet.

Greenbud,
Would you be interested in Tabebuia seed or Plumeria seed or Milkweed seed?

Dmails have been sent to everyone who I have seeds available for. Don't worry - there will be plenty more seeds this summer. I am very happy that so many people expressed interest in this plant! It's a really neat plant. I couldn't pass it up. I got my mother-plant at the gift shop at the Houston Museum of Natural Science a couple years ago. The Cockrell Butterfly Center (huge butterfly/tropical forest biodome inside the museum) is awesome! My husband and I went on our first date there. They were selling some of their butterfly host plants. Found this one irrestible. It's so pretty, but it's really easy to care for.

Thanks everyone!
