Is the place to ask about gladiolus?

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Just receive some glad bulbs Saturday. Was wondering is it too late to plant. Should I just store them until spring and plant then?

Lawrenceville, GA(Zone 7a)

Plant them now......they will take about 80 days to flower, so in time before the days get too short. Do not save them until next Spring.

Denver, CO

Perfect timing for some rich-colored flowers (resulting from cooler temperatures.) Make sure they are in a hot/sunny spot.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'm glad I found this advice! I've still got some glad bulbs too... I will get them in the ground! They'll be fun to have when all the lilies etc are done blooming.

Denver, CO

FYI all: Very few bulbs will survive waiting around a whole year in storage to be planted the following year. They are only designed to be dormant for the duration of one season!

Thanks, I have been on vacation, and they will go in the ground tomorrow.
