Hey greenie--I like that 'apricot smoothie'!

Wanted to point out that your 'coleus' is actually perilla. They look very similar! And it looks like 'Magilla' perilla to be exact.

Here's mine.

well for your first year, your plants sure do look pretty. your salvias really are gorgeous. I checked out some butterfly pics of yours on that forum, no wonder they love your salvias. keep up the great work.

Greenie--your plants and Hills look great.

But I gotta admit--perilla magilla or "magilla the gorilla' as I call it is easily the biggest water hog I have. I will never make the mistake of putting it in a terra cotta pot again, even though it is a huge one; mine clearly needs over a gallon a day and its in full shade.

Mine just gets the garden sprinkler and does fine. It looks like it already needs a bigger pot though. I can't believe the salvias. They kind of limped along for the longest time and then BLAM!, just went crazy. My cuphea did the same thing. Now, if I could just get my daylilies to bloom like that, we'd be in business!!
