Louisville, KY

Here is my gunnera plant growing in KY for this season. I hope it does well But will have to see.

mine have grown for a while but just can't take the heat. I have seen them in a Dallas nursery as a border plant in a pond. that seemed to work fine. I don't have such a setup so....

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

The ONLY place I have seen them grow with abandon is in S. Chile: cold, wet....not here!

Poquoson, VA(Zone 7b)

I was looking at them, but read they can be invasive - any confirmations/denials?

Fayetteville, PA(Zone 6b)

What Kind of Gunnera is it?

If it's a Giant Gunnera, it should be OK on the east coast in Zone 7a and 7b (but not outside that zone), at least according to Tony Avent at Plant Delights Nursery..... And if Tony "I consider all plants hardy until I've killed them myself at least three times" Avent says something is hard to grow, then it must truly be a hum-dinger!

I wish you the best of luck though.... BTW, which climate zone do you live in?

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

I know that they sell some at local nurserys but I don't have a good spot for them so never tried.
