OK...so I had broccoli and I was waiting for it get bigger like the broccoli in the store. Well now some the heads now have flowers. So this means I can't eat it anymore? If that's the case, when do I pick the other heads? I guess I needed to grow a whole field of it to get a family size serving! LOL

The healthiest broccoli heads in most modern hybrids have heads with smaller beads for several days. So you watch the beads and harvest before the beads start to open up. Generally less healthy heads start with large beads and the heads do not size up.
