This is an Ode to Fatherhood
for all those men who through time stood
and braved the wilderness and inclement weather
to bring home food of scale and feather
Who by example their children taught
to respect others and obey the law
to protect their women and their mother land
from those who intend to do them harm
God bless our Fathers, we need them all
to lead us through this maze we call
the stress of life and making ends meet
God Bless our Fathers, yes indeed.
