We think these are really fun and have planted a number of them around the place... They really make a statement!!! Here is a friend of mine, about 5'7" with one that is 5 years old....and it has been this big for the past 2 years.

That plant certainly does make a statement. Oh, for enough room for something like that........

Really impressive Carol. Are they barbed, sharp spurs etc?

Hey, great plant! I could use one of those. Gotta research that one ASAP. It's beautiful and amazing - you must be one proud mommy!

That's a pretty awesome plant.....a great conversation piece. Do you have any pics from when it was younger?

YES...will take some as we just planted a bunch out. After 12 - 15 years the plant blooms and little pups appear on the stalk which are then planted. Heck, in 15 years I won't care!!!

You must have been growing these for quite a while then. It must be really good for privacy to your yard as well. If you have any extra that you don't want to plant I'd love to try my hand at it. I'm kind of new on here and I've seen some pretty interesting plants. I love the tropicals.
