Perennial Butterfly Weed

This Year's Pics of Garden
I enjoyed your collection of photos. I'm sure it's highly appreciated by butterflies and hummingbirds, even...rabbits! I had no idea bunnies enjoyed seeds.
We didn't either until we saw a rabbit eating some of the birdfood (been putting birdfood out in feeders and on the ground 365 days a yr. simce 12/00).

Marilyn, I enjoyed your pics. And your list of hummer plants on the other thread. You must have a lot of room. Your bunny is sweet. gram
Hi Grampapa,
Nope! I just fit them in where I can and put some in containers. I have a small yard.
Thanks!
Marilyn
i have a pet bunny. is yours a pet or a regular visitor?
Hi Marilynbeth,
Beautiful pictures! I noticed forks sticking up in one of the pots....is that for squirells by chance?

Hi Maureen,
LOLOLOL !!!
I was hoping no one would notice! LOL
I put those in there because the plant is a catmint and I didn't want any cats jumping up and eating it. So far, they haven't. :-))

LOL...
It figures I would notice, I am always fighting the squirells and chipmunks that love to dig in my pots. I
may go with the forks, much more attractive than the hardware cloth I've been using! ☺
Hi Jackieshar,
Don't have any seed of fennel yet, this is my first year growing it (in a pot), but I can save you some if there is any.
Is that Butterfly Weed a perennial? I just got one like that ('Silky Deep Red') and it says it's cold hardy for my area, hope it is. I love it! I just have to get it planted.
Love your sweet little visitor you got there in your pic!

Hi Vossner,
That's one of the wild rabbits that come into the yard, but hubby and I have 2 pet mini-lop eared bunnies in the house.
What kind of bunny do you have?
Marilyn
had an early freak freeze in the fall then I had a real hard freeze down to 7 last winter for just a day, and it killed mine, I had to buy another this year, and many others that were supposed to overwinter
the whole rest of our winter never got below 40...go figure
around 80 christmas and 101 the day after easter
