my first brug, Inca Gold, has opened it's first bloom. Between chasing after 2 ducklings and staring at my beautiful new flower, today will be a wash. Oh well.

I just had my first bloom two weeks ago and Tropical Sunset put out 10 blooms at once.
jestelleoan, 10 first time blooms could have caused me cardiac arrest. I can just imagine how pleased you must have been seeing so many open at once. I dream of growing them tall and standing under a shower of flowers.

1st brug, 1st bloom.........I understand your excitement completely. You will have so many blooming before you know it and the thrill will be the same each and every time. Sweethearts just do not understand our love for brugs and other plants.
LOL Tussee, I would be there in a flash. And I will bring my DH and he can explain to yours how hopeless it is to object. LOL
I can just see you when you start crossing your new brugs, you will have them all over. That is half the fun with brugs, they are so easy to grow and easy to make seed. You almost get instant gratification too in that it is only a year from seed to flower. Not a long wait at all. Your first good brug you make, you need to name Tussee, I just love that name.
