Is this a bud on my Strep?

It's a tiny little thing, and this will be my first Strep bloom, so I don't really know what I'm looking for, but it looks like a bud to me.

Yes, Rain. I think it is a flower bud!

I love those little flower buds on Streps ! Takes them awhile to grow up big and tall but when they open back up Super wow and they last a long time like orchids !
Same way with my chiritas buds take a long time forming incrediable beauty and long lasting beautiy !

Oh good! I'm so excited! I think Cherry Pie has one, too, but it's too small for me to get a picture of. I tried... I'll be checking on this a hundred times a day! LOL

I bought two strep several months ago. One stopped blooming. I took them out of their pots and both were very root bound. I decided to pot one up to a larger size pot and the other I devided. The one I divided had at least 4 crowns. I looked this morning and they both have new flower stems coming. I am excited with you RainG. This is the first time I have worked with strep.

This and the other two I got were tiny when they arrived. Basically the Mom leaf and a tiny new leaf or two. But, man, at the roots they had! I potted them up, babied them just a little, and they've taken off. Blue Mars was the tiniest, and I didn't expect it to survive at all, but it's coming right along. If it follows the same track as these two, it will start budding in a week or two. I'm really enjoying working with these Streps. I look forward to being able to put down leaves of them. I've read that they propagate more quickly than AV leaves.

That's what I'm hoping! I put down leaves about 2 days ago.
