I have noticed that mine blooms a little slower, but longer than my non variegated.

Bob Beyer introduced this hummingbird bush when he was living in Clear Lake at the time..now located in Austin..It is still in a pot for me(bought it last year)...I have a perfect spot for it..and it is getting planted this year...lol...

I planted mine last year and really love it- it's just so pretty that I said I didn't mind if it never bloomed, then of course it bloomed and that's even more WOW!

I received a message from Mr.Beyer, himself a note about this special hummingbird bush...Go to this link and you will see why...

I have this plant too and I love it. Can this plant be propagated and if so how? Mine is not a variagated type. I love the variagated. Mine is fixing to bloom any day now.

It's been very easy for me to prop- soft cuttings and rooting hormone, regular potting soil, keep moist, but not overly wet and in the shade.

Thanks! I'll give this a try and see what happens.
