I have just moved from the big city (San Francisco) to the suburban 'country' (Sacramento) and couldn't wait to make compost! My husband's mom is aging and has Alzheimer's and needs either to move or have live in help. We opted to move in with her and now we have this large house and over a third of an acre of gardens to keep up. I got busy planting a vegetable garden and starting some compost (Loooooong story short!).
My compost is to the point that it will make excellent tea so I searched the forum here and found this link posted by EandEsmom (thank you!):

It was so simple, clean and POTENT! I was spraying everything and wondered if plants like succulents and carnivorous plants would benefit from the tea too. So I bravely spritzed my beloved succulents and one of my two pitcher plants. Well, the succulents LOVED it (very diluted and not too much!), and the pitcher plant did too! Since carnivorous plants don't need fertilizer besides what they catch in their bowls, I thought I would only try one plant to see the difference. I watered the plant on the right with the tea and you can see it has way more horizontal thrust than the one on the left! They are both quite healthy and vigorous anyway (the brown parts were there when I bought it I swear!), but compost tea is so great I wanted all of my charges to benefit from my efforts. Next time I will do both plants!
Compost tea works great on succulents too!
