A good friend from Washington, TX sent this to me and I had to share. Boy, hav'nt we all been there !!
A TEXAS BLESSING
Note: If you are not a resident of TEXAS or never have lived in the hot, humid Southwest, you may not understand the weight of this blessing!
Bless this house, oh Lord, we cry.
Please keep it cool in mid-July.
Bless the walls where termites dine,
While ants and roaches march in time.
Bless our yard where spiders pass
Fire ant castles in the grass.
Bless the garage, a home to please
Carpenter beetles, ticks and fleas.
Bless the love bugs, two by two,
the gnats and mosquitoes that feed on you.
Millions of creatures that fly or crawl,
in TEXAS, Lord, you've put them all!!
But this is home, and here we'll stay,
So thank you Lord, for insect spray.
Neat Texas Blessing
ROFLOL That was great! Thanks, Kipper!!!

Thanks for the "smile of the day". However, the author forgot to add grasshoppers to the list of pesky insects. My apple and citrus trees are nude. The other plants have large sections missing. I bought Nolo. Then read the directions. It takes 3 weeks to start working :-(
Also left out chiggers and flies. But then again, you'd need a whole book for a poem to "bless" all our insect aggravations! They don't make repellents that keep them all off me. But I'll stay organic. I won't poison myself and the environment...not ever!
Good for you Linda, that is the spirit.
I try to live alongside of them, but sometimes it is very aggravating, no fun when grasshoppers ear your plants, or others bugs suck the life out of your plants.
I just go on bug safary with my trusty pan of hot water, drop them in, and get rid of as many as i can pick, and down the toilet they go.
Josephine.
Oh that is hilarious!!! Worse part is that is it only too true :o)
Thanks for sharing...that made my day!!!
