New Rooster

Smithville, Canada

Just got back from picking up a rooster. He's a cross between a Rhode Island Red and Harco Black. Here's a picture in the cage, yet. He hatched out March 8, 2006. So he's a pretty good size already.

He'll add some color to my flock. All the chickens I have now are white, black or white/black.

I love a multicolored flock. He's a handsome guy. You should get some golden chickens too; they're so pretty.

Here's a picture of him outside in the sun. The pic from last night didn't do him any justice.

He's fine with the 7 wk olds I've got, but the Plymouth Rock still isn't impressed. The were 'gentle' clucking at each other through the fence, so I put her in for a bit, but the first thing she did was take a few running steps at him. So needless to say she won't be staying in there unsupervised.

Wish some of you were close to me.. I have12 roosters just like him.. Some need to go to good homes.

Halnick, he is a beauty! Good luck with the flock. When he is older, he will rule the roost! LOL!

I guess nature will kick in when he's ready. Right now he's twice the size of the others except the PBR and they can all make him jump. LOL. Thanks for the good luck. We'll see what happens.

That's what you call a good-looker!!
