I saw it..and have been drooling!

That's a beauty! No one would have to worry about me bidding on it though! It's going to go for a hefty price and I would probably kill it.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL..I won't bid on it either...I am too new to hoyas to actually spend that much money on any one plant :)

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

This is the 2nd one he's listed. The first one went for about $55.

It's way too much for me too, but I thought it was interesting to watch & see what it goes for.
Besides, I sure don't need any more HUGE plants that climb up trees...ha ha.

I would love to have it too. I am also too new to hoyas to spend that kind of money. I would never get any sleep. I would be hovering over it afraid it would die. LOL

In real life H. imricata is exceptionally ugly and wierd and beautiful!!! Mine grows up a palm tree...one big long straight line...I am doing to rip some of her down and start another line... she weaves back and forth from side to side as she gets away from the moving sun during the seasons. If you have one...grow her wet! lots of misting.

Just looked at this thread again and then at the eBay listing. 4hrs. and 50 min. to go. No bids......someone want H. imbricata? I don't know who other than Carol could grow it. She and I saw it growing up a tree at Ted Green's house. Looked cool....

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL I think it is neat :) But not sure it would live here in zone 9B and the only place I think it is practical is outside.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

I got the imbricata. Couldn't resist!!! It IS a lovely specimen if it is true that the plant I won looks just like the one in the picture...

Aren't I bad?

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

Wow...good going Carol. If anyone can handle a huge tree climbing beauty like that, it's you.
Had you already known it was offered on Ebay, or did you get the info from my post? If you got it from me, then I'm glad I did you the favor. Now YOU will get to wait for a big box from FedX too. Ha

LOL. I had seen the photo on ebay and passed it right by...thinking it was WAAAaaay too much money. Then your post, Marcy...got to thinking and then Susan saying that it was perfect for me to grow... Hmmm....the gears started to mesh and I thought about how really cool that hoya IS and how mine is growing Waaaaaaay up a palm tree in a straight line...and .... Now you know the rest of the story. Will send pics of both of them!!!
