Water section getting done.

Louisville, KY

Well this massive project is starting to come to a end. I first started out growing carnivorous plants and aquatics. I still have a love for both but after the aroid bug bit me I have let them go a bit more. I still do water lily hybrids and have worked on a few lotus hybrids. Finally I have the water section coming to a end. I am now working on filling all the ponds up and putting rocks and stepping stones for the walkways..

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice Idea for us because we have less space for water plants, I have in only one water container and now I can built a little pond like yours. Thanks for sharing.
What is this building behind water ponds?

That is great. I am dying to try lotus. Do you think they will grow in my area? Northern Calif Zone9. I never see them here , is it to dry in the summer for them? What is the best to grow in a pot? Also where do I get them. Sorry for all the questions.
Thanks Linda

Well the building behind us is a pluming place. I plan to block them out with tropicals soon. As for lotus they do great in full sun in large pots. I grow them in ponds and out in large pots. Just dont let them freeze solid.
As for building the ponds I found out the hard way if you go over 2 blocks you need to do a footer in the ground and I put cement and steal in every other hole in the blocks.

b....do you have a liner inside of the blocks?
