I enjoy taking pictures of my plants and snapped this one yesterday.
Just for fun
That is so fine! What kind is it? The petals almost look like they shade into burgundy....
Awesome! Love the detail!
I love it!!!
"Just for fun" is that the name of your flower??
I can't find the name anywhere! I've look through my personal "plant file" and can't find a thing. I'm going to check back with the nursery I bought it from. Maybe someone here could ID it. I just realized I didn't even send the picture I had originally wanted to send. So here it is fully opened.....
i must tell on myself...these pictures have a funny story that go with them.
i have pictures of this flower at each stage as it is opening up, about every minute or so. it sounds like a really neat, professional-photographer-kind-of- idea, but it was so accidental! it has been blistering hot with nothing but dead, still air for a month. the day my flower blooms and i want to take pictures, it feels like gail force winds! it was sooo windy!! thanks, alberto! so i kept trying to wait for the wind to stop. and when i felt a little break, i'd snap a picture. well, when i went back to look at the pictures on the computer, i realized i had watched the entire process of the flower opening. any other time, i would never of had the patience to sit there and watch it. it was actually beautiful weather, but i was cursing it the whole time because the leaves wouldn't stay still on my 'backdrop'--the black magic. moral of the story (that has very little to do with the last 'book' you just read): i know i've lost my mind because i just might have to find room to evacuate the plants with all the dogs and horses! LOL this is the first year i've really put my heart into my garden, and that wind was nothing compared to what we've had in the past. so if we have to evacuate again (for the 3rd time!), i don't what i'm going to do!
Georgeous pictures!! I love that color.
