O great...what can I send you?....would you like a start for a tropicana gold canna (Pretoria)..or some wonderful Blue River II Hibiscus seed when they make this fall..they are just about ready to bloom and they are hardy in your area

Jackieshar, I have many named and un-named TB iris that I could trade you for?

Do you have extra of the tropicana gold canna? I lost all of my water canna's over wintering them as I usually do. Wonder what happened?
My ponds are kinda empty and water plants have been sold out up here in our area.

Yes I can send you a T.gold and I can send a butterfly ginger if you like and maybe I can get a piece of the white Gladstone lily......it sells at Lilypons.com..I have blue water iris and yellow water iris also a bog plant from there, and maybe a start of the 4 leafed water clover........I think everything I have is rated for a warmer zone, tho not tropical...4A is awful far north to leave canna outside in winter. See these pictured ones and see if you like them too. The one on top is a darl leafed with a deep red orange bloon gets 6 to 7 ft tall..the one on bottom has a clear green leaf with a true red bloom and can get to 9 ft I have both these in wet soil but not water
I'd like any iris that is just not the plain old vanilla ones ;>) like the old cememtary whites, grape purples or yellows....names don't mean anything to me however,I really prefer the ruffled ones or bi-colored... ..but goodness even the worst of iris is beautiful......when my husband watches the Miss American contest....he prays, Lord just let me have the ugliest one..............have also been trying to get a start on some good daylilys

Are your Canna's the kind that you can put in a pond [fully covered with water]?

Lovely color on the red one.

Jackie,
I had no idea how hard it is to dig bog iris. I spent 45min in the mucky muck seperating out one deep rooted blue iris bunch! I appreciate what you sent me even more now. I am going to the yard now to soak the peach bearded iris. They are done blooming, but we need to leave the leaves intact so the bulbs can get stronger and bloom next year. I will ship tubers and leaves.
My passion of the moment are water plants for my dads pond. Any zone 5a not too invasive plants are good.(or seeds if easy to grow) I have lots of pale blue bog iris now. My other interest are lilies.
but I will gladly take a bunch of the land iris you have 'tons' of. Dads favorite flowers are iris.
