How can you tell?

F_benjamina leaves have a longer point, thinner texture; twigs are slender and tend to "weep".
F_microcarpa leaves & twigs are tougher.

F_benjamina is not often seen as a bonsai. Being basically a backwater tree, it drops leaves too easily with recurring droughts.
