I picked this up today at a local GH.
It was marked assorted alocasia. For scale...It is 1.5 feet high; the leaf is 6" long.

My first impression is a young 'Hilo Beauty'.
Ric
Mine too but I have never seen one so big.
I have one that is 4 years old and it is 5 inches high with several leaves that are 3 inches long. My Hilo Beauty goes dormant the beginning of Fall and doesn't wake up (even in my GH) until April, so it has a pretty short growing season.

It should get 2-3' high, leaf blades 6-12".

Rox, my Hilo's are around 3 feet tall....it still could be one...
I vote hilo beauty also
I was thinking it resembled a Schismatoglossis I had once....but I'm not as well-versed in distinguishing between all these aroids as some of these folks are, and I haven't owned A. 'Hilo Beauty' for a few years!
I would think imature leaf of what is known as Alocasia Hilo Beauty. If it is schismatoglossis it would have a bit thicker leaf more like a aglonema.
As for the Alocasia Hilo Beauty
I have no idea what it is called a Alocasia I believe it is either a Caladium or a Xanthosoma. Or possibly a caladium crossed with colocasia. It is very hard to say and though it has been said it can produce flowers. No one has ever taken a photo of a flower and I an many others have never seen it flower. If anyone ever does get a flower make sure to take a good photo of the inside of the spath and spadix.
Brian-
If ever I am so lucky to have it flower, I will definitely take a photo.
Thanks to all for the ID.
