Oh my, my PINK pig is mud brown. LOL. Is that her tongue she is sticking out? Wants a taste of mud, does she?

So do you Momma really ever let Daiseymae sit on your lap!!

What a cutie!

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

I let her lay in my lap when she wants a belly rubbing but here lately..it has been so hot she likes to be in her mudhole...Those are her front teeth that sticks out all the time..not her tongue...lol...
I have been waiting for the right moment for both of us to have our picture taken for the Photo Thread but still no luck...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

That would be so good to do so I can get an idea of how big she is. She looks huge but if she sits on your lap, she must be Miss PINK Petite.

Hey Daisymae! Glad to see you came out from under your mama's brugs! You look cute as ever - mud and all!

(Zone 7a)

Wouldn't this pic of Daisymae make a great ad for a facial as a route to happiness??? ROFL Let me see if I can get a certain DG member studying to be an aesthetician over here.

Moodene, what I wouldn't give for my own personal, cool mud hole in this humid heat, right now. Daisymae, move over!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

You let her run around naked?? We need to get her a mud and dirt bathing suit. LOL How many bikini tops would she need?? ROTF.

She is so precious. Her needs a wittle halo.

Tell her her auntie Sandy says hi. I would love to kiss that wittle snout.

Blessings,
Sandy ^8^

LOL..Sandy,...she usually has course white hair on her body..but during the summer she sheds it all off so she is naked right now..She will be getting her winter coat on later on the year..she still under the wisteria vine ..kinda cool in the dirt pile...in shade...I think Mr Ducky took over her mudhole for the time being..need to get a pic of him...

Nadine how do you keep your duckie from running/flying off. I have 6 Mandarin Ducks but keep them in a cage to protect them from all the preditors around here and all the duck hunters. I would really love to be able to release them to the pond if they would stay but i know they would leave with the wood ducks when they come and go

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Donna I had a cockatiel and we clippsd it wings. I am not sure about ducks, but don't see why not.

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Donna, I clipped some of his wing parts that ya can't see..and he free ranges during the day but he knows where his cage is for the nite..I just make sure that every nite he is locked up..I was given 2 duck hatching eggs and I hatched 1..lol....

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I trimmed the wings on mine to but don't want to do it permantly. They are growing back now that they have molted. The lady I got them from called before we went to get them to see if we still wanted them because another person that bought from her got his and put them straight into his pond. He had trimmed their wings first but they walked off into the woods lol and didn't come back. I know mine freak out bad when anyone strange gets anywhere near their cage. I guess you would have to hand raise it from a baby to be able to turn them loose. I let the momma raise her 2 babies. Guess I'll have to sell or give away some next year when they have more babies since DH won't build me another cage.

Every time I pop over to the Brug Forum and scan down the line of threads, I stop on this one and smile at both the words on the thread and the picture. Thank you!!

Oh Nadine, Mr. Ducky looks too cute too! You could do a child's book with these great characters! G

Growing up, I always wished I lived on a farm. Once I took bread and left a trail from the back yard (we had a huge pond in the woods behind our house), in the back door and up the stairs all the way into my bedroom. All to get a duck as a pet. The duck got into the house too before my Mother saw it and screamed and the duck went nuts trying to get out. I was so disappointed.
