Do you start these by leaf? If so do they take as long as AV? I want one.

They can be started by leaf just like Av's. Not hard I feel they root and grow faster while other's their leaves rot and they have not luck .
The choice is either by one or get a shared one !
I can send you one for shipping if this is good for you !

I looked at Rob's suggestions for starting Strep by leaf. I think I did it right but it was a little hard for me to understand. He suggests cutting down the main vein of the leaf (if I read it correctly) and fold the leaf and put it in the soil.

Someone please correct me if I misquoted him and misunderstood.

Did you get babies Nanna ? Me I do it the safe way I set same as Av's any where from 2 inch piece of leaf to a whole leaf. They root fast much faster than Av's and bloom before you know it.
Now Chiritas you just use a whole leaf root like Av's easy and fasy as can be for me. But like I mmentioned I think Ki for one said they rot for her all the time. And Nan wanted one Jesse and I and several other DG Peeps are growing but where she was going to order from the vendor could not get them to root or babies to grow so I am sending her one !

I enjoy this link ~How to Grow Chiritas
http://www.maavs.org/html/growing_cheritas.htm
I trans -planted several baby Chiritas today ,,from Mom. I think Blue Moon and Blue some thing forget the names . lol
I also trans-planted several Strep babies still with Mom into new pots and soil to continue their growing ! And I took about 1-2 inch off the Mom leaves and put them down to grow new babies ! Fun !

My experience with Chirita was the same as Ki. The word of the day is "croaked"

So far the strep leaf is OK
