Box turtle getting a drink

Found this box turtle this morning getting a drink from the pond. Forgive the ugly liner the edges aren't done yet.

Too cool! I makes me want to drop everything else and start my pond. But HE will only let me do one major project at a time. ;p

I think this is probably the same one I've seen several times this spring. The first time it was coming out of my hosta bed the second time he was tail first into the pond stuck against a plant pot, thank goodness! This was the third or fourth time I've seen it. A little unusual I feel. Guess it's a good thing I don't have any veggies planted or I'd have to relocate it before it took bites out of my garden goodies :~)

Oh I am so jealous! I would so love to have one at my pond - or anywhere in my state for that matter! LOL

I remember those from when I was a kid. I understand they are not so easy to find nowadays. Very sad.
