Latest water feature - a favorite.

Beaverton, OR

All of last month was water feature work - installs, renovations, peripheral plantings.

This was my favorite project of the month.

It was for my wife's mom too, in Central Point by Jacksonville.

The moss rock really does the trick.

Really beautiful! It looks completely natural.

Buffalo, WV(Zone 7a)

Wow, that could be a pic of the real thing! Great job. Wanna take a vacation to WV and finish the edges of my pond? LOL

Beautiful!

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

Absolutely gorgeous.

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

mdvaden, that is one of the prettiest water features I have ever seen! Would love to see pictures of more of it and the surrounding area.

Beaverton, OR

I'll probably take a few more images in a couple of weeks.

The edge of the planting area and barkdust around it needs to have a strip of sod cut out and removed. So the edges are a bit raggety for a final photo.

We're waiting to make sure my mother in law doesn't want a few more plants first.

I also need to get on my 10' orchard ladder to get a good shot of the whole thing.

Phoenix, AZ

Exceptional!

What is a moss rock?? Bellie

Beaverton, OR

Moss rock usually refers to rocks or boulders that are quarried or collected from the surface, and are covered partially or fully with moss on the surface. I'm sure there are several kinds, like basalt, or granite. It's more a matter of the moss.

Some people are very finnicky and go to great lengths to avoid dislodging the moss when the moss rocks are handled and placed in the garden.

It's amazing how many kinds of rock are around.

Have you seen my DECORATIVE ROCK album?

I don't sell. But I link to my album from my site. The decorative rock album has images of stockpiles in supply yards of Portland and Medford, Oregon metro areas.

If you go to http://www.mdvaden.com

Select ALBUMS from the menu and then select the rock album from the drop-down menu on the next page.
