It's Berry time in southeast Michigan, The wife and I spent less than an hour this afternoon at The Rowe's U Pick farm in Belleville collecting these beauty's .Fourty Pounds worth pure heaven and @ $1.15 a pound what bargin. We had the best weather for it also sunny 70deg, with a nice breeze.I,ll share these pics with all of you in hopes to get your mouths watering to get out and support our local Farmers.

we have picked 32qts so far here at my own house
yum - we have a patch big enough to get a quart every other day - good enough for us!! couple of more pickings and I'll be maxed out!! I quit freezing them as I always forgot about them from one year to the next.

Has anyone tried Jam with Splenda if so how is it? Jane and sugar not mixie she to sweet for it.Or if there any other non sugar recipes that trun out good please forward them. I just would hate to try something new a ruin my berries.
We did freeze a bunch whole and sliced for daiquiris.

My patch is only 2 years old and started from 5 plants so I get a few tastes every day or so.
Too bad it's going to be so hot this weekend or I'd pack up the family to go picking, I haven't done that since I was a kid!
