Paige
Thanks Kristi and Paige. My, this just keeps going on and on....LOL
Good to hear from you, Kristi. I haven't run across you lately...Did you have a good celebration after the kids left?
Yeppers, the program is over. Finished it off about 3:00 AM Saturday morning, and gave it at 10:00. It went really well. The attendees were very interested, and hung around afterwards just chatting and talking about their experiences and asking questions. I love it when that happens. Smockette was there too!
Hi Ceejay! Wish I could have been there for that program. It sounds great! Staying up til 3:00 am and giving a program the next morning! Sounds like my old cram nights in college.
We drove the group up to camp Sunday and it took ALLLL day. Now I'm pacing the floors because I miss my daughter. But........
look what I got for my anniversary (not a chipper but I have other occassions coming up)!
That is soooo cool! What are you growing on it?
CJ, wondering where she could put one of those, since anniversary coming up in November....(Birthday already over LOL)
Well, I planted passion vine and mandevillas but I have a feeling I'm going to regret it. April has given me some really good advice on some other vines so they might get transplated when I get more trellis' for my long fence. I also am thinking now that I should have planted for more fragrance as this is the entrance to my front porch.
I had to laugh about the trellis. I looked up traditional anniversary presents and 5 years is wood. So I begged for the trellis. My husband thinks I've lost it but he did a great job! He also put one in a small skinny spot too. My birthday is coming and I either want the chipper or lot's more new beds!
So, did you do anything FUN for your birthday?
Kristi
Did he make those? Wow! Looking great!
Just did the usual on my birthday because it was Sunday - church, eat out after, take nap. My DH really wanted to celebrate the night before by taking me out to a very nice restaurant (Kirby's). Well, that was the day of my program, and I was really hot, and really, really tired. Too tired to even take a shower at the time, so I just threw something over the bed to protect it from my sweaty body and crashed. He woke me up when he returned from golf to get ready. I had already got my gift when we attended the art show TW had earlier. Found some artist's jewelry I fell in love with and begged. He's always just so glad he doesn't have to go looking and think, that he's easy. He knows this - I tease him about it. So this was my gold and aquamarine and mother-of-pearl birthday. LOL
How nice! I love artisan jewelry. I have a set from MFAH that are the prettiest glass beads I've ever seen...the "bluest of blue." Love aqaumarine and mother of pearl.
Hubby bought the trellis at HD but had to make wooden pieces to attach to the brick before attaching the trellis and then cut them to size. Trust me, he's so good with wood projects that he could have made it but I told him not to waste his time when they can be purchased so cheap. He's made my bird house, my laundry bin, a stand for my embroidery and a smaller stand for me to do smaller needlework with. He's also GREAT at framing art work and specialty mats.
He's a keeper! My DH is not handy in those ways, but he loves to garden with me. And he can cook. So I think I'll keep him.
A cook! Gotta love 'em!
Aw, man, did you do a program up here that I could have gone to? What was it about?
Kristi, I would sure go for a chipper, have been wanting one ever since I started gardening. Just think of the compost and mulch! You could charge a small fee to turn your neighbor's waste into mulch for them, lol.
I want a chipper sooooooooooo bad.I would even scout the neighbors trash for yard garbage. LOL
All about Hummingbirds, especially the Ruby-throated and plants that attract....
CJ, excitedly getting ready for her daughter and grandbaby from Tennessee who are coming to visit tomorrow....
Oh, what fun, have a great time with them, CJ!
Sounds like a blast. I hope you make lots of memories!
Thanks! See y'all in about 5 days!!
I'm crusing to Lake Conroe until Sunday after work tomorrow....talk to you ladies in a few days! Have a wonderful time with the grandkids and
Take A Breather!!!!!!
