Dear Allison :) The box came today right on schedule and your packing was great as always. But poor Pink Duchess had a rough journey! Really, the box insides looked like it was tossed hither and yon by some great hippo going through a bad divorce! Even one of the solo cups was dented :-0 Beautiful Pink Duchess absorbed the shock, I think. Seven leaves were broke off and her blossoms were all crapped up!! So that's the bad news...:(
The GOOD news is that I put down 6 of the seven leaves and when I took off the abused blooms, there were bloom buds underneath in perfect shape!! I gave her a warm drink of water and a reassuring pep talk, and snuggled her in under my best light. I'll betcha she is in bloom again in short order!
PLUS, I thought you were just sending me leaves of Rob's Zippity Doo...not the whole plant...WOW! He is just darling...and came through the rough journey unscathed. All the leaves, too. And how thoughtful was it of you to put in some beautiful little plant tags??!! Really, Allison, you are the greatest African Violet peep ever!!
Now, don't worry about Pink Duchess, she is strong and will be up and going again in no time. And I'll have Pink Duchess babies aplenty to share in the fall. Thank you so much, Allison. I am always moved by your generosity and kindness...

Oh I was wondering about shipping her she's a baby but is pretty large baby blooming for the first time but so gorgous. I am glad you have leaves down you can grow some more beauties and I bet she grows bigger and more beautiful with zillions more flowers ! She progates really nice ! Grows nice shape. She is not all that easy to find VG sells her but on Ebay can get pretty high $$$
I'm glad you like the Mosaic Rob's plant. I wanted to send it to you as I know you like Mosaic. I bought it from Rob's in April it came small and slow growing. It does not seem to like much water.
How are your other leaves ? If they are ever soft just put their stems in water for hour of more, make new cut and plant up. I always water my leaves threw really good , let drain and set under lights in in window !

Hey Anna, did I tell you that Little Creek Girl, Little Hopi Girl, Dresden Doll and something else that I forgot on the walk back to the computer (grrr)...anyway, they are all making babies now!!! That is so cool!!
As for the leaves that arrived today, they are all holding their own. I think I should give them another good drench this evening. It's the little tiny ones that got a bit tired.

While I was down there on the floor looking at the leaves just now (they are on my bottom shelf) I decided to give them a little spritz and cover with plastic wrap to keep the humidity up. That should plump them back up.
I am very happy!!!
congrats on your new treasures from allison! isn't she the greatest? i got leaves from lorry of rob's zippity doo but i killed them : ( they were the only leaves i killed 2 of : ( you must post pictures whenever you get blooms : )

Just checked on the little leaves...they seem to have plumped up over night. I am going to keep them under wraps though. I'll give you all an ongoing report when there are changes :)
Honestly, Rob's Zippity Doo is SO tiny! And it has the mosaic variegation with some pink as well...almost doesn't matter if it blooms or not. Yeah...almost~lol!!
Did I tell you I bought this plant from Rob's in April...I re-potted it twice to give it new soil/pots get it growing. I notice it does not like to be too wet.
It has grown for me also in the past 2 weeks so you can see how small it was when I got it. I wanted you to have it send you love mosaic and I hope it does good for you ! The flower of it in FC is real pretty too !
