Dex found this piece of an Oak tree and *really* wanted it for his home. So, after much huffing and puffing, it is in place. He and I still need to do a lot of work, but the hard part is done. Dody has come across the drive to "supervise", but so far, I haven't seen him lift a finger to actually help! All the birds seem to like the house too, thank goodness, since its in the middle of their feeding area (and weighing about 300 pounds, I have no wish to move it again!).
Once this is finished I will get Dody started on his home as well. He has the place picked out, but at his working speed, he will end up spending another winter in my house!
