My bromeliad needs repotting (isn't that an understatement--way past due). I will keep a couple for myself in pots on my patio, but you can tell that I will probably have at least four or five extras. I have already repotted and given away divisions from a similar size plant and sent a couple to DG friends (one close to home in Houston and the other in Florida) and was told they arrived in good condition. If you are interested, send me a dmail. I am willing to send them for postage or would be willing to trade for a pink brug though I only need one or two brugs--very limited on space.
These have very pretty blooms and you can view it in bloom in my diary; here's the link to my diary.

I grow this bromeliad in pots on my covered patio, but my friend has them in the ground and they are easy to grow.

CLOSED: Anyone want a bromeliad?
Patty, I have a couple pink brug cuttings. One is Butterfly and I can see if there are any other ones I can cut on right now. I also have a Billbergia( Queens tears) which is very pretty. Thanks, Cindy
Cindy
I don't have a brug at all so any variety of pink is fine. I've never grown brugs, but since joining DG a couple of months ago, I have really wanted to and anything in pink will be just great. I'll let you know when I plan on dividing and putting these in the mail. Just gotta see how many DG'ers are interested in the bromeliad. I hate to toss plants, but I don't have room nor the desire to keep four and five of these. Thanks for the quick response. You'll be hearing from me.
Patty
Hi Patty,
I am interested in your bromeliad. Please check out my trade list. If you don't see anything there. Please let me know what you are looking for maybe I can find it.
Thanks,
Patti
I'm also interested if you end up with an extra piece of that lovely bromeliad. It sounds like your space is very limited, so I may not have anything trade-able that would work for you. Keep me in mind . . . Thanks!

A pink brug is basically what I was looking for and I would also consider pink or red plumerias. If I had room, Rose, I would love a blue or pink rose of sharon, but my the areas where I have sun are full. If you are interested in paying for postage:
Rose to ship to Houston, $5 would cover it; I know this cause I sent one to RJ in Houston a couple of weeks ago
Chris I'm not sure about CA but when I sent one to Florida it cost about $8.50. These have to be shipped priority because of the size, but you would also want them to arrive as soon as possible since they are perishable. If you'll send me you're zip code, I will try to use the postage calculator and get a rate. Let me know if you prefer a larger division or if you would rather I try to send a smaller one to reduce the postage cost. I have boxes already. I can try and use the flat rate box that the post office offers; that rate is $8.10 to any state, but once again you will be limited as to the size because of the width of this bromeliad.
Let me know if you're still interested.
