Does anyone know the proper way to prepare potatoes for a traditional potato salad? Ours has excellent taste but the consistency seems to be - a how shall I say gluey.
Everyone seems to have a different way.
I find recipes that boil the potatoes with skins on , skins off , some rinse after boiling and some don't, some let the potatoes cool down, some don't. Is salt an important factor when boiling?
I'm sure it's probably one simple step that we are missing. Please help. The store bought potato salads around here are horrible. Funny part is that theirs isn’t gluey, but they make huge chunks and taste bad.
